ABOUT

 ABOUT US !

Garbo Guts is a solo artist owned small business based in New Jersey! We mainly focus on creating digital artwork and screen printing our designs onto t-shirts, bags, and patches right at home. Our art is cute, grungy, offbeat, with some witty humor; inspired by nostalgia, alternative aesthetics, little bit of anime/cartoons/video games, and cute cats! We aim for an unconventional style and to get some laughs out of people.

Our products are coming from a pet-free (sadly) and smoke-free home! We as well strive to be eco-conscious!

SUSTAINABILITY

WE AIM TO BE ECO-CONSCIOUS!

We may be a small business but it doesn't hurt to aim for sustainability and eco-friendly practices! Here's some stuff we use!

We ship our products in all-paper packaging and compostable mailers! We as well use paper tape, compostable labels, a petroleum-free ink stamp, tissue paper, and business cards made from  recycled paper and water based inks—making your package much more easier to recycle and dispose of.

Paper is NOT infinitely recyclable...it can only be recycled about 5-7 times, after that the fibers are too small to bind to each other. So it's recommended to compost when you're able to. Compostables will NOT decompose in landfill aka the trash bin, due to the lack of oxygen that landfills are designed to prevent rapid decomposition.

DID YOU KNOW: a shirt with water-based inks are considered completely recyclable while one with plastisol ink is not?

This is because water-based inks are completely PVC-free while plastisol ink, a popular contender for screen printing, is essentially liquid plastic. That's why the shirts we use are 100% cotton shirts printed with water-based paints !
